Ffestiniog Railway Double Fairlie Locomotives August 2017

The Ffestiniog Railway in Wales operates several Double Fairlie locomotives. Here we see two of them in operation near TanyBwlch station. First we see David Lloyd George climbing the grade towards the station, followed by Merddin Emrys heading down hill. Despite their similar appearance, David is a new build loco from 1992, while Merddin is an original loco from 1879. Afterwards is a ride on the train behind Merddin Emrys passing through TanyBwlch and climbing towards Blaenau Ffestiniog. Filmed 11th of August 2017.
