The time is September 1988. The place is Farnborough Air Show. On Monday afternoon, the soviet AN124 blew an engine at the beginning of the takeoff roll and aborted. Then, as we were preparing to leave on Wednesday evening, a never heard sound came from the sky: a soviet AN22 Ante was coming to the rescue with a replacement engine.
