IAN HARTE Leeds United legend

In the early 2000s, OLearys Leeds United were one of the finest outfits in England with a brilliant roster of young talented stars. At leftback, Ian Harte was establishing himself as one of the finest in the Premier League, a capable defender with a matchwinning left foot. Ian Harte, former Irish international, started his professional career at Leeds United in 1995. He became well known for his ability to score goals from long range, including being a free kick specialist. He helped Leeds reach the semifinals of the Champions League in the 200001 season, playing 17 times and scoring 3 goals in the competition. Harte s later career at Leeds was not so successful, as his lack of pace was exposed and his goals started to dry up. In 2004. following the financial crisis at Leeds, he was sold to newly promoted spanish club Levante, as Leeds were relegated to the Championship. Hope you ll enjoy this video.
