Travelling Russia in WINTER , Yekaterinburg, A Trans Siberian Railway Stop
Yekaterinburg is our first stop along the Transsiberian Railway and it s our first introduction to extreme subzero temperatures, brrr During our stay here it got as cold as 22c in the daytime, we ve never experienced cold like it. We spent a few nights in the city over the new year period to have a rest from the train and to explore all that is has to offer. We were suprised by a mini ice festival just around the corner from our hotel As well as this we visited the Observation deck and the famous Church on the Blood, where the execution of the Romanov family took place. This city looked particularly beautiful covered in blankets of snow, we would definitely recommend adding it to your TransSiberian itinerary if you wish to make stops along your travel.
