Does Pide Pizza from Turkey compare to an Italian Pizza

We love how simple food is as a foundation and how every culture adapts to create recipes and traditional foods based around these principles. The pide is an amazing example. I tasted this for the firs time with my Turkish sister in law and loved the idea of it. I m a huge pizza fan so seeing it through another lens was a great reminder of how borderless and free food is.
