Akame 48 Waterfalls, Akame shijuya taki shinju misui (2003) Genjiro Arato

For undivulged reasons, the welleducated Ikushima has traveled to the small town to work in the lowpaid position of meat skewer for a restaurant. His employer, Seiko (Michiyo Okusu), is a sly restaurateur who admits to a former life of prostitution and sets her new charge up in a boarding house which is fronted by a shrine dedicated to tramps and misfits. Once Seiko takes him to his dilapidated room and he begins his job preparing kebabs, Ikushima meets misfits aplenty. From the grimfaced tattooist, Horimayu (Yuya Uchida), to the overweight prostitute who recites railroad station names while she works, all of Ikushimas fellowresidents are appropriately kooky. Top of the curiosities for Ikushima is Aya (Shinobu Terajima), a sexy Korean girl who needs money to support both herself and her jailed brother.
