Nippy (1931)
Full titles read: And now PATHETONE is taking you over for a topical peep at a famous West End Theatre, filmed during an actual performance. A nip from NIPPY the musical Play at the Prince Edward Theatre, Intertitle reads: Tis and accompanied by Debroy Somers we await Clifford Mollison and Arthur Riscoe. Not forgetting their Soused in High angle shot of a car driving slowly onto the stage. Two drunk looking men climb out of the car and slump down together by the side of it. The two men slur their words as they try and piece together the events of the previous night. They include dancing in non existing fountains in Piccadilly Circus and the realisation that the car does not belong to either of them, which makes one the men ask the question Well, who s is it The scene is greeted with howls of laughter from the audience.
