Woodturning: The Phoenix Burl
Watch until the end to see the bonus pieces The star of this video is charred burl that was salvaged from California after a wildfire. It is either Manzanita or Madrone burl. I don t usually go for thin walls, but I have seen this concept done and was curious if it could work for these pieces. A few of the blanks had saw marks, which meant I had to curve the walls and move the center to ensure complete natural edge around the piece. As might be expected, the pieces turned out fairly delicate and also rustic at the same time This video is lucky, 30 Let me know what you think Subscribe to Kim Tippin: Not only does she do some amazing work, but she also convinced me to set up a paypal, which I did Thank you to those who helped me out Subscribe to Brad s Woodturning: He is a solid dude with solid skills, and he is fun to watch
