Jeon Gowoons debut film is a wise meditation on livelihood and the beauty of freedoms both vast and small amidst an unforgiving city. A tender comedy of disenchantment told in a delightfully vignetted story: 31yearold Miso is barely getting by in Seoul. Her joys in life are: cigarettes, one glass of whiskey after work, and her poor boyfriend who dreams of becoming an artist.
