Brandon Fraser won this years Best Actor Oscar for his role as a 600lb. man in The Whale. But not everyone is cheering Frasers achievement. Specifically, Daily Beast writer Rebecca Bodenheimer has labeled the film fatphobic, although she admits to not having seen it. The thin writer and director perpetuate fat stereotypes in the film, she says, and continue Hollywoods shameful policy of putting thin actors in fat suits rather than hire fat actors.
