LM386 Amplified Crystal Radio

My third coil(s) set. Testing amplification of the AM band from a crystal radio based on the Mystery Radio design, with some tweaks. Home made air variable capacitor, and using a 1N34A diode with the LM386 IC amp on 8W, 8 Ohm speaker, with volume control. Note: The segment of the song Analog Kid by Rush (played off YouTube, incidentally) is used only for the demonstration of the amplifier.
