Eastbound Expressway first became born in 1976, when I recorded a song called Danger Zone for Pye Records, by Ian Levine And The Sounds Of Summer, and Pye Records decided the name was too self indulgent, so I came up with Eastbound Expressway. Then in 1977 we released Cloudburst on Contempo Records. Then, in 1978, when AVI Records fell in love with a track off the first James Wells album, called Never Let Go, but hated and loathed James rather over the top wailing on it, the REAL Eastbound Expressway
