This video comes courtesy of 2008 s Godspeed On The Devil s Thunder (Roadrunner records) and the track The Death Of Love, wherein the album s titular antihero Gilles De Rais reflects on his dalliance with Jeanne d Arc, from his time fighting as her champion amid her rallying conquests against the English, through to her eventual capture, trial, torture and martyrdom. The video itself was filmed at the infamous Pinewood studios, London, just off of Goldfinger Avenue, (so named because of the James Bond films that were shot there); in fact The Wolfman starring Anthony Hopkins, Benicio Del Toro and Emily Blunt was wrapping up there at the same time as the Filth were in, though the only ravenous hairy lycanthrope seen at the studio canteen was then Cradle guitarist James Mcillroy, baying for his dinner. Another little known fact: This is guitarist Ashok s favourite COF track. Period.
