The RMS Mülheim wreck in 2020
An engineering analysis In this video I go down to the Mülheim wreck site in Cornwall to find out what is left of it after 17 years of being pounded by the sea. As an engineer I was primarily interested in identifying any ship components I could find, and particular I hoped to locate its Deutz Diesel engine. Marine engineering isnt my field of expertise (Im more comfortable building cars ) so here Im applying my existing knowledge to try to make sense of what is visually still available. Ive not covered the cause of the wreck here. I find the official explanation rather too bizarre to comment on However, I can declare that there was no suggestion of mechanical or engine failure.
