Daniel Barenboim Jacqueline du Pré about their love story

In 1966, Jacqueline du Pré, together with her Davidov cello, toured over 40, 000 miles. In spite of being increasingly soughtafter, the British cellist found time for a renewed interest in chambermusic with violonist Hugh Maguire and pianist Fou Ts ong. It was at Fou Ts ongs home on Christmas Eve that she met pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim, whom she would marry shortly afterwards in Jerusalem.
