So when you next hear my (intro ends at 2:46, vocals enter at 3:04) Not sure why it took me this long to make another Rise of the Monarch remix after Metamorphosis, but it s here now This one s a little on the short side, but it s a nice way to bridge the gap between Monarch s origin story and her rise to power in the album s storyline. Kind of a shame it s the only full song on the record to not have a music video, though. I don t know what it is about rather brief tracks that compels me to turn them into superlong prog epics, but yeah, I might ve gotten a bit carried away on this one. I guess I just really wanted to try more complex song structures and compositions that I don t normally get to write. Dream Theater has a few songs off of their A View From The Top Of The World album that I find interesting compositionally, so I wanted to go for something like that for the most part.
