Rebel Meets Rebel Cowboys Do More Dope (Blues Metal Cover by Wicked Rumble). On this day, in 1966 a cult rock musician, guitar virtuoso, vocalist and one of the founders of groovemetal bands Pantera and Damageplan Dimebag Darrell was born. Today it could have been his 55th birthday. Since 1996 and until the formation of Damageplan Dimebag Darrell along with his brother Vinnie Paul, Pantera bassist Rex Robert Brown and country musician David Allan Coe have been worked on a side project called Rebel Meets Rebel. This material remained unreleased and saw the light of day only in 2005 after Dimebag Darrell death. According to Vinnie Paul, his favorite Dimebags solo is in the song Get Outta My Life from that album. Later, in 2013, in Moscow, musicians of two local bands Rock n Raw Bottled Band and Broken Neck gathered for a joint concert dedicated to the memory of Pantera, Damageplan and Rebel Meets Rebel guitarist Dimebag Darrell.
