Inversive fiction is a 2016 neonoir crime black comedy short film written and directed by Evgeniy Surkov. Directed in a highly stylized manner, Inversive Fiction connects the intersecting storylines of Lyceum graduators, man on duty, local gangsters, and a mysterious briefcase. Inversive Fiction s narrative is told out of chronological order, there are a total of five narrative sequences; the three primary storylines are preceded by intertitles: Prologue The Vigil (I) Prelude to Grigory Stepanov and Dedinsky s student Grigory Stepanov and Dedinsky s student The broken globe situation Epilogue The Vigil (II) It was firstly shown May 21st on the graduation of Lyceum The Second School s 11th grade.
