Gymnopedie 1 Eric Satie Note Reading Lesson, Music Lesson

Gymnopedie No1 is originally one of the three Gymnopedies composed by the french composer Eric Satie. The melody was extracted so that any melodic instrument may play it. In this video, the piece will be used to learn several basic music rudiments such as reading quarter notes. dotted half notes and accidentals while at the same time exposing the student to classical music. This video has 3 stages. The first stage suggests that the student familiarize first how the melody sounds by listening to the music while reading the piece where pitch name guide is also provided. The next stage is where the student would play the piece but still with pitch name guide. The last stage is playing the piece without the pitch guide.
