Heavy Sleeper is the first fulllength release from Sydney fourpiece Milkmaids. Spearheaded by the sweltering lead single Garden, Heavy Sleeper provides 8 tracks of dark, angry and unrelenting guitar rock, underpinned by a precise, pummeling rhythm section and powered by colossal, distortionladen riffs, searing guitar solos and howling, irascible vocals. With most of the recording taking place in one day in a small studio in Marrickville, Heavy Sleeper attempts to capture the live power of the fourpiece which earned them their loyal following, with 8 potent songs written over the past 68 months of gigging (with the exception of audience favourite and setlist mainstay Up In Smoke). Mastered by Grammyaward winner William Bowden, the album will be available digitally and on a limited CD pressing via the Milkmaids Bandcamp and at upcoming shows in Sydney over the next few months.
