The Kinks Sunny Afternoon (1966)

This song always makes me think of summer afternoon s like today s and the many summers past. It is, without a doubt, one of my most favorite songs by The Kinks, right up there with Green Grass by Gary Lewis The Playboys, the American version of summer days lost and found. Here in the US, the single was released in July 1966 (perfect timing). At that time it was already, 1 in the UK.
