For the duration of his career, people have understood Derrick Rose to be one thing: a tantalizing talent when taking it to the tin. Roses ability to contort and convert around, over, under, between, and through defenders made him a lethal playmaker. Before the injury in the 2012 playoffs, Rose was a reasonably durable player. He played 81, 78, and 81 games during his first three years, logging around 37 minutes per game throughout that span. Injuries derail many an NBA career, but a 42. 7 FG during his final year in Chicago was his best since returning from the myriad injuries. His ability to attack the rack is always going to be one of the keys to his team winning basketball games, so the more he does that, the more effective he will be.
