Damaged Reputation is the first single from the hard hitting, bourbon smoked sophomore album Aces Eights. Rob outlines the theme of the song: No matter how well you live your life, in my experience there is always someone who is out to make things difficult for you, in work, family and relationships. This song reflects on a toxic relationship a friend of mine had and how he was never looked at in the same way again by his friends and peers; after his partner spent most of her time, during and after their relationship spreading very bad rumours and tarnishing his name. He ended up in a very bad place physically and mentally.
