Amoeba Eating and rejecting food

I finally ran across an amoeba in my pond water samples. I haven t seen one since resuming the microscopy hobby for the first time since my teenage years, and that s over 50 years ago. I was about to shut down my scope and had turned off the camera when I spotted this little guy. My illumination wasn t set very well and I didn t have a chance to use a 100X objective, but I hurriedly turned the camera back on an shot this little video. It was exciting to see the amoeba chow down on a couple of little organisms and interesting to see it reject whatever that little round object was. I now am motivated to capture more amoeba behavior with better quality video. I m thinking that with more attention to the illumination and the use of a 100X objective the video could be better than this one. All comments are welcome Thanks for watching.
