Mercy Street cast went on a tour of Alexandria, VA

Mercy Street actors Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Hannah James, and Tara Summers visited Alexandria, VA to see the sites that inspired the PBS Civil War drama. The sites they visited were: 1. Carlyle House former home of the Green family and site of the Mansion House Hospital, now a museum 2. StablerLeadbeater Apothecary a family business founded in 1792 and operated in the same location during the Civil War. 3. Contrabaands and Freedmen Cemetery Memorial burial place for about 1, 800 African Americans wh
