Air Traffic Control and mothers in law
A funny air traffic control conversation between a Departure controller and a Virgin crew. The MERIT THREE departure from runway 4R or 4L calls for pilots to make a right turn to 100 degrees heading shortly after takeoff, and climb to 5000 feet. The tower controller often instructs pilots to wait for him to call the right turn: that s what happened here, but the Tower air traffic controller forgot to call the turn before clearing the Virgin crew to switch to the departure frequency.
