How to use the PASSÉ RÉ CENT in French ( Venir de), , French conjugation course, , Lesson 30
The passé récent in French is used to talk about something that happened recently. It s always made of the verb VENIR conjugated in the present tense, followed by DE + the infinitive verb describing the action. It can also be conjugated in the past when referring to something that happened just before another action in the past. In this case, the verb Venir will be conjugated in the imparfait, and in the second part of the sentence, the verb will be conjugated in the passé composé.
