Europe Undone RT Documentary
The sanctions haven t functioned. Karin Kneissl, a former Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs, believes that the new packages of economic restrictions make it worse for the Europeans themselves. Energy prices in the EU have already risen so much that many businessmen cannot afford utility bills. For example, Hans Peter Kornelius, from Germany says: I recently heard about a bakery, which had been doing well, and had been paying 120, 000 for its gas per year. And now, they ve received their precharge calculations and they have to pay 1, 200, 000 per year, which is ten times as much. No small business can afford that today. After fuel, all other goods become more expensive. Residents of the Baltic States are increasingly going shopping in neighboring Belarus.
