The week before The Lilac Festival at Highland Park Rochester, NY April 30

The Lilac Festival was still a week away but we had such an unusually warm and early Spring the Lilacs weren t waiting and were already at their peak. This was both good and bad. Good for us because there were no crowds, and bad for the festival because the blossoms were going to be past their peak. Just goes to show you Mother Nature operates on her own schedule.
