Stevie Nicks Stand Back 1983 Disco Purrfection Version
Like Led Zeppelin, Stevie Nicks embraced the synthesizer and artfully included it in the mix on her second LP The Wild Heart in 1983. Stand Back came about while she and her new husband were on their honeymoon. She heard Prince s Little Red Corvette and it got her humming along and then she was inspired to write Stand Back along to the melody about a crazy kind of argument. She called Prince to tell him about the song and then he showed up at the studio, played the synth part and then walked out of her life for a long time. While uncredited for his performance, his name appears on the copyright of Stand Back along with Stevie Nicks notation that it was inspired by Prince.
