Being Black And Mixed Race in China, Gen 跟 China
Being mixedrace is often considered a privilege in China, yet Blackness can be stigmatised. Mixedrace Eurasian face filters and models are prolific on Chinese social media, but the same preference isnt given to mixedrace Black and Chinese people, even though they are a growing demographic. In fact, there is a small pocket of Chinese netizens spouting strong nationalistic and antiBlack racist views, which increased after changes were proposed to make it easier for foreigners to gain permanent residency in the country. VICE World News speaks to mixedrace Chinese people about their experience living in China.
