TOOLS + MATERIALS: PATTERNS: BOTTLEHOOKS: Repairing a Beautiful Antique Bag This week a friend of ours brought in a beautiful woven bag her grandmother had made a long time ago. It had a broken leather handle, which had been used for many years in our salty air and dried out. We used a bit of vegetable tanned leather, some nylon core, and some plated brass trim to make a replica of the bag handle and repair the antique bag back to it s original beauty. It s ready for many more trips to the beach
