Exercises for opening up your hips and prepare your body for a ballet class
Often my adult ballet students ask me: how can I increase the range of motion in my hips and improve my turnout Well, the key is: 1. To do a nice warm up for your hips before every ballet class. 2. Strengthen the muscles around your hip joint. 3. Gradually increase the range of motion so you will be able to open up your hips. 4. Learning how to use to muscles around the hips to hold your turn out. If you are an adult ballet student and have never used your turnout before I recommend starting very slowly
