On June 1, 2012, Patti Smith, backed by her children Jesse and Jackson Smith, performs the world premier of April Fool, from her latest original album, BANGA, released June 5, 2012. The show took place at the Detroit Institute of Arts and included the opening of Camera Solo, an exhibition of her photographs, and the installation of her late husband, Fred Sonic s guitar into the museum s collection.
