Animistic Beliefs PARASITI (富人) Official Video Epilepsy Warning

PARASITI (富人) is the new mindcorrupting music video by rave sweethearts Animistic Beliefs and visual fairies Staurolite Studio. The work is part of Earthly Soundtracks For The NonHuman, an audiovisual project dreamed up by Rokolectiv Festival and supported by SHAPE Platform. For our interpretation of Earthly Soundtracks for the NonHuman, parasites functioned as a necessary intermediary in order for us to submerge into a nonanthropocentric mindstate. With this project, we do not inherently align with a detachment of humans from nature, but instead, utilize the characteristics of parasites to amplify parallels between entities. We regard this as an urgent metaphor to highlight, as humans have adopted parasitic behaviours in relation to the Earth that are responsible for this perceived division from nature. We were interested in the ability of parasites to not only influence their chosen environments for their own benefit but also the capacity to alter the psychological state
