Steam on the West Highland Line October 2013
The West Highland Line, one of, if not the most dramatic and beautiful railway lines in Britain has always been a strong holding for steam in preservation. Running from Glasgow to Mallaig (and Oban), the line passes through moors, mountains and lochs. Steam over the week was in the capable hands of Ian Riley s black fives numbers 44871 and 45407 (West Highland Bash on the 19th and 20th) and then K1 number 62005 on the Jacobite on the 22nd and 23rd of October.
