Guo Gangtangs story inspired the 2015 film Lost and Love by Hong Kong actor Andy Lau. It was an emotional reunion for the 51yearold farmer and his wife, who finally rejoined their son Guo Xinzhen in eastern Shandong province, on July 11, 2021.
