6th British Police Walking Championships Cuts (1926)
Full title reads: 6th British Police Walking Championship. P. C. Richards, K. Division, first home for third year in succession and wins cup outright. Barking to Southend, Greater London and Essex. Various M, S speed walkers racing down suburban street, followed by men on bicycles. Some competitors pick up drinks from refreshment van at roadside. In some shots crowds line streets. Point of view shot from vehicle driving slowly in front of a walker. The walker grins and gives two thumbs up probably Richards. He is followed by bicycles and a motorbike. M, S of Richards reaching the end of race. He walks between a crowd that closes around him as he comes to finishing line. They lift Richards onto their shoulders, he holds up a glass of stout.
