Herberts Dream lamplight magic

Grahamstown had five alien figures visit the National Arts Festival. In Herbert s Dream, a public art creation by Compagnie des Quidams Inko Nito, the five white visitors came to celebrate the power of light. The luminous 4m creatures take the crowd on a dreamy mystical journey with evolving costume and lights make the magic. The author of Herbert s Dream is JeanBaptiste Duperray and Nicolas Martin whose works have been supported by the French Institute of South Africa (IFAS). Report by Jenna Lillie
