Airbus A320 Electric Taxi FIRST TEST

This is a video of the world s very first Electric Taxi Demonstration on an aircraft. Being able to taxi with engineoff has great potential to reduce onground fuel burn and associated was conducted in Frankfurt Airport using a Lufthansa Airbus A320. The system is integrated into the main landing gear and uses APU power to drive the electric for the precision maneuverability including the reversibility.
