American Secretary of State Hull greets King George VI (formerly Prince Albert, Duke of York) and Queen Elizabeth (later Queen Mother) as they arrive at railway station. The King and Queen meet American President Franklin D Roosevelt and Mrs Eleanor Roosevelt. They speak with Canadian Prime Minister W L Mackenzie King and other guests. Outside the station crowds wait to see the Roosevelts and the royals. A 21 gun salute sees them off in a military parade. The parade moves towards the Capitol Building. Nice shots of King and FDR chatting in car. Ext shots of the White House. Shots of formal garden party at British Embassy. Good shots of guests including J P Morgan, FDR Jnr and Harry Hopkins.
