Roger Daltrey burst on the scene in the early 1960s as the frontman for The Who, one of the pioneering bands that led rock s British invasion of the U. S. Along with guitarist Pete Townshend, bassist John Entwistle, and drummer Keith Moon, Daltrey and The Who became one of rock s biggest and most influential acts, selling 100 million records, producing two fulllength rock operas and performing a historic sunrise set at Woodstock.
