In the woods near Athens, Oberon and Titania, king and queen of the fairies, argue over ownership of an Indian boy, bequeathed to Titania when the child s mother died. Oberon plans with his servant Puck, a mischievous and chaotic fairy, to use a flower capable of making someone fall in love with the first thing they see to enchant Titania and so happens to hear an argument between Demetrius and Helena, planning to interfere in their love life as well.
