Ellen Foley (June 5, 1951 St. Louis) is an American singer and actress. As a singer she has made four solo albums, but is best known for her collaboration with other artists, of whom Meat Loaf is probably the best known. Her breakthrough came in late 1977 with the duet Paradise by the Dashboard Light with Meat Loaf on his album Bat Out of Hell. Her debut album Night Out was released in 1979, and is also her best known album. It includes the hit singles We Belong to the Night and What s a Matter Baby.
