GAME RECAP: Penguins at Islanders , Penguins Fall in New York
The Pittsburgh Penguins resumed play after the holiday break, taking on the New York Islanders for their first of four matchups on the season. New York got on the board quick with a goal just 1 minute into play. P. O Joseph would answer back for the Penguins before the period ended to tie things up at 11. The second period of play was all Islanders as they found the back of the net three times. New York continued their scoring in the third as the Penguins never really found their footing in this one, falling to the Islanders by a score of 51.
