Debuted in Kalanidhi s original production titled Poetry of Love and featured in the Colorado Fine Arts Association s Prakriti: The Nature Festival, Kalanidhi Dance s presentation of Mast Qalandar has captivated audiences everywhere. The dance is inspired by Amir Khusro s song, Mast Qalandar, celebrating the intoxicating bliss of complete devotion. The dancers invoke the rhythm and spirit of the Sufi practice of whirling, a spiritual ascent through love into the divine.
