I finally decided to tackle it for the our hospital s Doctors ball. In this video, I go into a deep dive into studying the movie version of the dress, as well as why I chose to replicate the way that I did. I use a vintage pattern from the 1950s (a reprint) to make this, as well as silk satin, and some glitter tulle. I explain flat lining, hand pricked zippers, boning and boning channels as well as the nuances of fitting a muslin.
