The idea was to make an Electropopdocufiction music video by mixing the ingredient of a music video with a documentary approach and setting the action in Cairo to introduce the Arab youth generation to an international audience. Our idea was to show a modern Egypt, a country that soon will belong to that new generation, we set it up in 2019, imagining and hoping that by then things will have changed and that the country will be turned to the futur. We used the metaphor of the launching of a spaceship to the moon as a way to present a modern Egypt. We didnt expect that the political changes will occur so rapidly. We are in 2019, 50 years after Apollo the Young Arab Space alliance is launching their first spaceship to the moon. Two astronauts are about to take off. Meanwhile on that historic day we follow Yasmine and few of her friends through Cairo.
