Various shots of Labour candidate Michael O Halloran talking to voters in street (SYNC) He is asked about the Labour issues in the Borough and what of his chances (he talks very earnestly). Reference is made to him being Irish, as are just under 1, 4 of the local inhabitants. An elderly voter is affronted by being asked how he will vote Oh, well I m afraid that s a very personal question , another lady says decisively Yes we ve never had it so good . Various shots of Tory Candidate Andrew Pearce campaigning door to door (SYNC) The commentary states Mr Pearce is not Irish but he has an Irish wife. He introduces himself to a girl who s underage, an elderly lady who keeps gesturing and saying I don t know and a young man who is not very helpful. He is asked what he is selling himself on and what are his chances. MS Pan over very poor houses which are indicative of the area.
