Sensory Mat
Sensory carpets are not only beautiful decorative pieces in your childs room, but also very beneficial for their development. Different textures and colours on your sensory rugs will stimulate your childs senses and massage their feet. Sensory rugs are great for exploring different textures, have a calming effect and benefit brain development. Sensory carpets are easy to make. You will need a small rag carpet, a bamboo mat, some vegan leather, some faux fur, bigger buttons, felt, jute twine, satin ribbons, a thick crochet hook and some sewing supplies. Sew the different materials onto the carpet. Cut the satin ribbon to 2530 cm length pieces and twine them into the carpet using a crochet hook. Sew the buttons and jute twine onto the carpet. Allow your child to walk on the carpet so that they can sense the differences between the materials. You can leave it on the ground or roll it up and store it.
